A suspect in a high-speed chase dies after ejecting from a stolen CHP cruiser.

A man who had stolen a patrol car from the California Highway Patrol jumped out of the moving vehicle in the center of the road, ending a protracted pursuit. On Tuesday, March 28, the incident happened after a carjacking suspect being pursued by officers jumped out of the car. The man was declared dead at the site, according to the sources. During the on-camera pursuit, the guy was hauled from the stolen California Highway Patrol car in the Lancaster region.

The sources claim that the guy, struggling with mental health issues, stole the car after getting into an accident near Santa Clarita. He also took a shotgun and an assault weapon during the chase. According to news reports, the guns were safely stored inside the car. The pursuit stopped when the suspect jumped out of the moving vehicle while traveling on the 138 Freeway at about 45 miles per hour. The news agencies covered the whole incident during the live chase report. The 138 Freeway incident is now visible in the video making the rounds on social media.

How did the suspect fare?

According to the reports, the suspect in the case has not yet been named. He jumped out of the moving car, hit the pavement, and collapsed unconscious in the highway’s center. Police also gave him CPR and called for assistance in an emergency. Later, to make room for the transportation, the suspect’s corpse was moved to the side of the road. Despite the efforts of first responders, it was verified that the man was pronounced deceased at the nearby hospital in the Antelope Valley.

The officer disclosed that at around 11:45 AM, CHP began receiving reports regarding the negligent driver on Interstate 5 close to Castaic. The offender, according to reports, was engaged in a two-car collision. When the CHP arrived to check on one of the victims of the actual crash, the suspect could board the approaching Dodge Charger cruiser and flee. Although the man’s identity has not been made public, sources are working on compiling information on the dead.
